I fondly remember Edushyster and am a big Ashana Bigard fan. I first heard about her in Andrea Gabor's 2018 book, "After the Education Wars." I might have seen her at an NPE presentation led by Gabor in Raleigh but am not sure she was there and was not astute enough to notice. I met her in person this April at NPE Columbus and was really impressed. She is the real deal. I did not know about her book so thank you for this information. It is on order.
Absolutely love that ending quote of creating something that never existed. As a parent who is trying to also work towards a school system that hasn’t yet existed, Ashana’s words will stick with me.

Still lame after all these years. Any time a panacea is trotted out just say no 🤨
